1. Introduction
Welcome to Co-Create ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). Co-Create is a collaborative project management platform that allows users to create projects, find collaborators, and work together on shared initiatives.
By accessing or using Co-Create, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Co-Create is a personal project operated on a non-commercial basis. The Service provides tools for:
- Creating and managing collaborative projects
- Requesting and managing project memberships
- Tracking contributions and earning contributor scores through an automated scoring system
- Endorsing peers' validated contributions
- Communicating via project conversations and direct messages
- Following projects for updates without joining
- Organizing project information and discussions
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
If we learn that a user is under 16 years of age, we will take steps to delete their account and associated personal data.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Registration: To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including your name, email address, and a secure password.
4.2 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4.3 Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account at any time. Deletion requests initiate a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the request. Before deleting your account, you must archive or transfer ownership of any projects you own. After deletion, your contributions are anonymized (not removed) to preserve project integrity. Co-Create reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. User Conduct and Responsibilities
You agree to use the Service in a respectful and lawful manner. Specifically, you agree NOT to:
- Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any other systems or networks
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our express written permission
- Collect or harvest any personal information from other users
- Post spam, advertising, or promotional content unrelated to legitimate project collaboration
Co-Create is a personal, non-commercial project with limited moderation capabilities. While we expect users to follow these guidelines, enforcement is conducted on a best-effort basis.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
6.1 Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the content you post on Co-Create, including project descriptions, messages, and other materials ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
6.2 Platform Content: The Service itself, including its design, code, functionality, and all materials provided by us, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.
6.3 Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your User Content. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, quality, or reliability of any User Content posted on the Service.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service includes an automated contributor scoring system that evaluates user contributions. Users can opt out of scoring or contest their score through the platform. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on data processing, including automated profiling.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following third-party services that may process limited user data:
- Google: Authentication via OAuth (processes name, email, and avatar URL during sign-in)
- Honeybadger: Error monitoring (processes technical error data and request metadata)
- Email delivery service: Transactional emails (processes email addresses for account-related notifications)

9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components
- The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
As this is a non-commercial personal project, our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed €50 (fifty euros).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Co-Create and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state where the Service operator is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable EU member state.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
